Oyo South: Ex-Oyo SSG, Sharafadeen Alli, Opts Out, Cites Lack Of Internal Democracy

A former Secretary to the Oyo State Government and senatorial aspirant for the South Senatorial District under the platform of All Progressives Congress, Chief Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli on Friday opted out of the Oyo South Senatorial district race.

Alli described the delegates list for the primaries of the party as ‘jaundiced delegate lists in circulation’.

The former SSG who is a political son of former Governor Rashidi Ladoja in a press statement personally signed said he was angered by the fraudulent practices and lack of internal democracy in the party.

According to him, “this fraud started since the ward, local and state congresses of Oyo APC in 2021. And we had complained severally to the national secretariat, yet no meaningful reconciliation was achieved”.

“On this score, I, Chief Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli is using this medium to inform all my teeming supporters that I am no more interested in the Oyo South senatorial district as a candidate.

“Further consultations and next line of action shall be communicated to you in due course,” Alli said.
